Orcas Island's Whale Spirit Adventures
Our captain, Azuriel Mayo, is the owner and U.S.C.G. licensed Master of 21 years of experience on the Puget Sound. Nine of these years have been spent with the whales and animals in the San Juan Islands. In addition to a great deal of information about the Natural History of the Marine Environment, he will be able to supply stories of the geology, history and legends of the islands. He also plays the flute for the Orcas as a way to personally thank them for their gifts.

The Cruise
Our whale watch/wildlife cruise lasts from 5 to 5-1/2 hours. We leave from the Westound County Dock., between 10am and 12 noon. During our trip we may encounter a variety of wildlife, including, Eagles, Herons, Loons, Cormorants, Auklets. We may also see Otters, Harbor Seals, Elephant Seals, or Sea Lions. Of the cetacean world, we have the opportunity to see Harbor Porpoise, Dall Porpoises, Orcas ( killer whales), Minke Whales, Gray Whales or rarely, a Humpback Whale. We are confident enough that we will offer a Guaranteed Whale Sighting for an extra fee. If you don't see a whale that day, we will issue you a voucher for a free trip, based on seat availability.
